Helping us to help carers |
|
Over 10% of the population are carers, with many people caring for others for 24 hours
a day. Good quality, independent, advice, information, and emotional and practical support
(such as taking a break) are essential to help carers to carry on caring, as well
as having a life of their own. Our continuing work to support and represent carers is dependant upon donations, fund-raising, and voluntary good-will. Please help us to help carers by: Making a donationWe are entirely reliant on gifts, grants and fund-raising for our work to support carers, so if you would like to support us, please consider a donation towards any of our services for carers. Gift Aid will add a further 25% to your donation, at no extra cost to you (Gift Aid Declaration Form). You can make a donation to us by cheque made payable to South & Vale Carers' Centre at the address below. If you would like to set up a Standing Order to us, please contact us for further details. You can also make a donation to us online via the Localgiving.com website. ![]() Becoming a MemberIf you would like to support of the work of the South & Vale Carers' Centre by becoming a member, please download the membership form. The minimum donation to become a member is just £5. Volunteering your timeIf you only have a small amount of time available we would always welcome help with tasks such as producing our newsletter, "Carers' Voice". If you are able to commit your time on a more regular basis, why not consider joining the Friends Group which was formed in 2011. Meetings of the Friends Group will be held as agreed by the Group, usually at least 3 times per year at a central venue. Venues will be accessible and comfortable; with easy parking and reasonable access by public transport. For further information on the Friends Group please click here. Thank You! |
